Billy is the engine of Cape Hatteras Surf School, bringing unmatched energy and a mission to get every client on as many waves as possible. A North Carolina native, Billy was born and raised on the coastline, developing deep roots in the Southern NC surf community. 

His expertise goes far beyond local breaks; after living in Nicaragua for three years, he learned hospitality, and elite water safety. With a degree in Recreational Tourism and a minor in Sports Leadership from East Carolina University (Class of '15), Billy combines professional coaching theory with a lifetime of "stoked" experience. When you're in the water with Billy, you aren't just getting a lesson—you're getting a masterclass in ocean confidence.

AJ doesn't just surf; he lives at the center of the industry. Born and raised in the surf world, he’s been coaching since he was old enough to paddle out, making ocean instruction second nature. AJ’s deep passion for the sea is matched only by his commitment to giving every client a premium, high-energy experience.

Beyond the lesson board, AJ is a true guardian of the water. When he isn’t coaching, he’s working Water Rescue or serving as a Competitive Surf Judge. Currently rising through the ranks to judge professional world-tour events, AJ brings a technical eye to his teaching that is second to none.
